Beloved clothing store “Vogel’s and Foster’s” located on South Main Street is going out of business.

Mike Jackson, the owner of Vogel’s and Foster’s, purchased the business in 1994, and later bought the two buildings that house the clothing store. After more than twenty-seven years of owning the business, Jackson and his wife are retiring.

“Chelsea has a beautiful community, and I’m so very fortunate to have owned a great business and worked with the amazing people I did,” Jackson said. “I will definitely treasure all the good memories and experiences I had here and I will miss everyone I worked with throughout the years.”

Because Jackson has officially sold the building, Vogel’s and Foster’s will not be moving to a new location and will instead close down permanently, leaving the buildings to their new owners.

The new owners will take over the building next year. They will reveal their plans for the building at that time, which leaves many wondering what will replace the beloved Vogel’s and Foster’s.

Before the community begins worrying over the future of the business’s former housing, Chelsea will need to say farewell to Vogel’s and Foster’s which is officially closing between December 23rd and December 31st, 2021.

However, before their inevitable closing, Vogel’s and Foster’s are still open with a great fall inventory including sweaters, gloves, and scarves for the upcoming winter and late fall.

Everything in the store is currently 40% off, which is a really good deal on most items. Go on down to Vogel’s and Foster’s to go buy something before the store closes in a few months!
