The Hill family has been a part of the Chelsea family over the last decade, starting with Nick, then Trent, and on to the youngest, Tyson Hill, who is now in his senior year of high school. Both of Hill’s older brothers did amazing things in high school and went off to great schools to play college football; Nick went to Michigan State University, and Trent is currently a sophomore at Ferris State University.
According to Hill, there was some difference between Ohio players and Michigan players. “I would say it’s a different style; Ohio players were a lot bigger at a younger age, instead of a smaller speedy type as they are in Michigan, so just switching the style of football was hard.”
Being one of three brothers that were all-time greats in Chelsea history, it can be a lot of pressure to live up to that, and Hill takes that pressure and turns it into fuel.
“I would say that the pressure makes me better because I play better under pressure. I know that they were very good at Chelsea, and I’m held to higher standards, so it’s playing up to those standards that makes me better.”
Furthering his football career after high school is something that Hill is planning to do. “College football is definitely something I want to pursue,” Hill said. “I was very much influenced by Nick going to Michigan State.”
Hill has had many coaches throughout his football career, but one among the rest stands out. “My dad has been very supportive since he’s been with me the whole way. He knows me as a person the best, and he always pushes me to my hardest; he knows what I’m capable of.”
Hill has great things ahead of him, and the whole family has great things to expect from their youngest son.
