The Arbor Club is gearing up for its annual spring cleanup and is reintroducing its composting program. These eco-friendly systems not only help clean up the neighborhood but also promote sustainability through composting, and giving back to the environment.
“Composting transforms food scraps into valuable soil, rather than sending them to the landfill,” President Mason Purdy (‘25) said.
While the composting program reuses food scraps to turn it into something better. The spring cleanup serves to pick up many different materials.
“[We] pick up litter, plant trees, and refresh our green spaces,” Purdy said.
The Arbor Club invites you to be part of our event dedicated to cleaning and revitalizing our green spaces. This project will enhance the beauty of our school environment. Join us in making these areas more enjoyable for everyone.
”[The] spring cleanup will take place on April 26 from 10 am to 1 pm at the Alumni Arbor,” Purdy said.
By doing this you get the opportunity to be involved with your community by volunteering and keeping your hometown clean. Your school will thoroughly enjoy having its areas cleaned up and can cherish what you did.
”This is a wonderful opportunity to give back to our school, earn volunteer hours, and enjoy the outdoors,” Purdy said.
By volunteering at this event you can not only enjoy having those extra volunteer hours but get the chance to meet new people. This experience will also allow you to actively contribute to a cleaner environment, while also giving you the chance to learn about the importance of keeping our surroundings litter-free.
“We would love to see you there, so bring your friends and your enthusiasm,” Purdy said.
