As November approaches, Chelsea High School students are building anticipation, becoming very excited for the movies that are coming out in theaters this month, from new stories to sequels many students are buying their tickets and are ready to watch these new films.
“I enjoy going to the movies, it’s fun to get out and watch a movie not just sitting at my house, it’s a fun experience with all the food and the big screen to watch on, also the movies are always new and I’ve never watched them which makes it more exciting,” sophomore Melayna Minyard said.
It can be very exciting when new movies come out, bringing new stories and innovative ideas to life. This month, people are having many different thoughts with what the cinemas have to offer with Moana 2, Wicked, Red One, Paddington in Peru, and much more coming out.
Experiencing a new movie that’s never been watched can make you feel many ways about the film, some people may not end up liking it while others will. There are many different types of movies like thriller, horror, comedy, drama, etc. Students all have their own views on their favorite kinds of movies.
“My favorite kind of movies are thriller or comedy,” sophomore Alexis Wahl said. “I like when the movies are funny but also when you don’t know what is gonna happen next.”
Although, watching new movies is very exciting sequels are just as exciting. When asking students what movie they are most excited for most of them stated Moana 2, or the prequel of Wicked. When a prequel is produced they make a movie out of existing work almost like it’s a new version of the old movie.
“I’m looking most forward to going to watch Moana 2 and Wicked, I am going to watch Wicked soon and I’m excited to see how much it’s like The Wizard of Oz,” sophomore Solana Samek said.
Sequels provide a sense of suspense, allowing the audience to connect more with the characters and create new theories about what they think will happen next. When the movie ends on a cliffhanger, the promise of a sequel can make fans eager to see how it all plays out.
“I really like when movies come out with sequels, especially when they leave you on a cliffhanger it just ties the whole movie together,” Samek said.
Many new movies are coming out means advertising is crucial to building up enthusiasm for the audience. Making commercials, posters, or even a trailer can help people know what is coming out in theaters. When trailers or commercials are intriguing it brings many more people into theaters to watch a movie. The more intriguing the ad is, the more people will head into theaters.
“There’s been many ads for new movies on my TV and my phone, I mostly see ads for Moana 2 and the new Wicked movie cause they’re most advertised and popular,” Samek said. “I think ads are good for movies because people become more aware and excited to watch.”
All of the new movies coming out in November have a very diverse and exciting way of entertainment for all, there is something for everyone to enjoy. Whether you are planning to go watch movies in theaters you are promised an exhilarating trip no matter the movie.
“I love when a bunch of new movies come out all at once it makes me very excited to get to watch all of them,” Wahl said.
