As Chelsea High School Football season came to an end, many high school seniors might take this time to try something new, spend their last few months having fun with friends, and leave their football career behind. But for Seth Anstead, his football career is just taking off.
After such an incredible high school season with a record of 9 in 2, Anstead is extremely confident taking on this task all over again at Ohio University, carrying a new community on his shoulders and cherishing talents and challenges with new teammates.
“I stay motivated just knowing I get to experience this at my age,” Anstead said. “My goal is to start on the field as a Freshman in college so that is a big reason I stay motivated in the time I wait to start practice.”
There are no days off when trying to accomplish this goal. While staying motivated Anstead focuses on lots of things off the field such as keeping his body and mind in shape while not in season.
“The key to staying in shape is lots of conditioning in the weight room and eating foods that are right for me,” Anstead said.
As Anstead continues his conditioning and keeps his motivation high, he thanks Chelsea High School for everything they have done for him as he could not have reached his dreams without this program.
“They’ve pushed me to be the best in every turn, especially with the new weight room this year, that is where I’ve pushed myself the most besides on the field,” Anstead said, “My teammates and AT helped push me like college is going to.”
Anstead will continue to hustle until he starts to practice this summer with his new school. Ohio will give him new experiences and push him the same way our community and CHS have done his whole football season.
“I’m excited to experience the new while continuing to do something I love,” Seth said.
