In the heart-pounding arena of sweat, strategy, and steel, one wrestler emerges as the embodiment of resilience. As senior Donovan Fisk just started his senior year wrestling, he has been one of the most important people on his team. He’s a leader, and he’s also one of the most vocal on the team when encouraging players, making him a super important piece of the program.
Fisk has been wrestling for three years now, all of which he played varsity. Every season, Fisk looks forward to spotlight dual home meets.
“It’s my favorite part because so many people come out to watch it,” Fisk said. “With a huge crowd and the lights dimmed low, there is a lot of good energy, making those meets the best.”
Although he enjoys his high school wrestling career, once Fisk moves on to college, he won’t continue wrestling. Despite this he is trying to make the most of the time he has left, and keeping his foot on the gas pedal.
“The season so far has been going great, and a fun start to my senior season,” Fisk said. “Hopefully, it just keeps getting better so I can end it on a good note.”
