Chocolate chip cookies. A school lunch staple. These cookies are extremely popular among the student body, but why?
“We sell around one hundred or more cookies each day,” lead cook Miss Dee said. “This means we sell upwards of five hundred cookies a week and upwards of two thousand cookies each month.”
But why are they so popular? What is the recipe for them? Is the dough bought in mass amounts? These are some popular theories the student body has had.
“It’s a secret recipe; we can’t share it,” Dee said. “We have to keep the secret going. The chain can’t be broken.”
These cookies are extremely popular among the student body, with around two thousand sold each month. But what do the students think about the cookies?
“They love them,” Miss Dee said. “When we run out, students get upset.”
This begs the question: What makes them so good? Besides the secret recipe, other factors can be included in this.
“People want big, undercooked cookies with the most chocolate chips in them,” Dee said. “We say that we count the number of chips in each cookie because of this. The cookies are also big and undercooked because the students want them this way.”
Surely there are more than just the normal chocolate chip cookies, you may ask. There are, in fact, different varieties of the famous cookie.
“Sometimes there are the little cookies that have multiples in a package,” Miss Dee said. “We make chocolate chips most of the time, but there are other kinds we make. We also do white chocolate chip, a turtle with caramel, and M&M. However, we only do these occasionally.”
These cookies are the center of attention when it comes to cafeteria food. That is why they are so popular and why the recipe wants to be known. Sadly, however, the recipe for these delicious cookies may forever be shrouded in secrecy.
