Lucy and Brenna Taylor (‘26) have been inseparable since birth. As identical twins, they do everything together, pushing each other harder than anyone else. It’s easy to see on the field, as they dominate in field hockey and tennis.
“If one person wants to go and do something, the other person will often go with them to not fall behind,” Brenna Taylor said.
This mindset even applies in the classroom, where they are both honor students.
“We push each other to be better athletes and better students, so one of us doesn’t want to be slacking off while the other is doing all that homework,” Brenna Taylor said.
“Then the teachers will know that we can or have time to complete it,” Lucy Taylor. said.
If you ask anyone who knows them, they’ll say the twins know each other better than anyone else. The twins have worked so hard and long together that they have an almost telekinetic connection.
“I think because we spent so much time together and whenever we practiced, we practiced together, we’ve developed, I think, a way of communicating without talking,” Brenna Taylor. said. “Like, we know what each other’s going to do. So that helps us anticipate.”
The strong bond doesn’t stop at field hockey; the twins also dominate on the tennis court. The two are doubles partners that made it to the third round of the playoffs, earning a bye in the first round. The twins were also star freshmen on a field hockey team that made it to the state semifinals. The twins’ story can show how much better we can be if we push each other and keep each other accountable.
