A pop star and a professional football player, who would have thought they would be the newest subject of news focus around the world. Even here, a lot of people have been wondering, what is going on between Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce? At CHS there are a mix of questions and comments floating around. 

When English teacher Valerie Johnson was asked how she feels about the possibility of Swift and Kelce dating, she had some comments about the situation between the two celebrities. 

“I feel like she’s never gone on the journey with an athlete before,” Johnson said. “And I like Travis Kelce for her, for a variety of reasons. He is already at the top of his career.” Johnson also exclaimed that she likes the idea of Swift dating someone not involved in the music industry because “there’s no friction or competition” between them due to being in completely different fields.

While everyone is coming to the conclusion that the two are meant for each other, we still have yet to learn if they are a couple or not. 

When asked if she thinks Swift and Kelce are dating, Johnson was unsure. “I think that everything that Taylor Swift does is calculated,” Johnson said. If Swift and Kelce are dating they don’t mind people knowing, or else “she wouldn’t be showing up publicly to a prominent game.”

Johnson agreed on the fact that Swift is probably bringing a lot more attention to Kelce’s team and Kelce himself. “He has potentially gained people who’ve not been into football,” Johnson said.

So maybe nobody is 100% sure if Swift and Kelce are dating but, a lot of us do sit at the edge of our seats waiting for confirmation from either side.
