Mrs. Vanessa Fisk, the new administrative assistant to Principal Mike Kapolka at CHS, applied for a new position at Chelsea High School as a way to be helpful for all students and staff.

“I take care of any administrative duties and clerical work,” Fisk said. “I also take care of the organizing for Mr. Kapolka and the school.”

Fisk attended Eastern Michigan University for college, and has done extensive work since.

“I was a High School Social Studies teacher and Volleyball Coach,” Fisk said. “I also have experience as a Paraprofessional at North Creek and most recently as an Office Manager for a small business.”

She started her new position at the school April 5th after realizing it was a perfect opportunity for her. Like many people, the pandemic left her in need of a new job. When she heard about the opening at CHS, she knew it would be a great job for her because of her love of working with people.

“I really enjoy working with everyone, especially the students,” Fisk said. “And I love to organize things!”

She’s also an outdoorsy person. When Mrs. Fisk is not working hard for the school, she enjoys hiking, walking, baking, and spending time on the lake. She brings the passion she has for her everyday life into the school and is excited to be a part of the district.
