Athlete Spotlight: Jason Skoczylas

Sophomore Jason Skoczylas is JV’s starting quarterback and has been playing football for as long as he can remember.

“I started playing tackle football when I was 8 and have played other types of football since I was 4,” Skoczylas said.

He explained it’s good to be able to play multiple different positions when playing football to be able to help out a teammate and rotate between different positions.

“When I’m not quarterback I play multiple positions like linebacker, running back, and wide receiver,” Skoczylas said.

While football may be difficult to play, it definitely has multiple different perks like that feeling when your team wins together, there’s nothing like it.

“My favorite part about playing is being able to win games, hit people hard, and obviously scoring touchdowns,” Skoczylas said.

Although playing football is fun for Skoczylas,  it’s not the only thing he likes to do in his free time.

“My favorite things to do when I’m not playing football are work out, or hang out with my friends and girlfriend,” Skoczylas said.

Although Skoczylas may not know what he wants to do in the future, he loves playing football and wants to continue playing for as long as possible.
