As the year of 2025 school year is coming to a close, the senior class is getting ready to graduate, but some people don’t feel like they are. Senior year should be filled with fun and games, but not for this senior class.
“It’s unfair because we’re seniors and you should get treated differently with more respect because you’ve been here the longest in this school,” Avery Lay (‘25) said. “I think that it would be really fun if the administration let us do harmless pranks.”
When we look at social media, lots of other schools do fun activities as the senior class, but the shadow of the past seniors reflects on this senior class, who haven’t made the smartest decisions on their pranks.
“I understand where they’re coming from because in the past, seniors have taken the pranks to a whole other level,” Lay said.
Even though the seniors don’t get to do much, just as the senior class, the administration still lets the whole school do things, but only a little bit of solo or group work with the seniors.
“Powder puff is fun. Homecoming, Winter Carnival, like pep rally games,” Maggie McKale (‘25) said. “I don’t really have anything specifically that seniors get to do besides our Senior Skip Day,”
The senior class has missed a lot of things, and their year might not be as fun as people expected, but the seniors that will be walking out of high school will have bonds with people that they, for 13 years, have seen almost every day.
“The bonds we have made over the years are so strong and something that everyone will take with them as they move onto the next steps in their lives. I’m really excited to see where everyone goes and what people do next,” Lay said.
