“We are the sum of everything in our life. It’s impossible to pick out one big influence. So, I have a quote wall in my bedroom, and there’s more than one person quoted on that wall, and I believe that humans are a sum of all of the influences. I take anything. There’s no one person. It’s everything that I hear. All the transcendentalists and stuff, all of it is on the wall, anything that inspires me is taken and put into words on the wall. So that’s why I don’t think there’s any one influence. There are people that I look up to in the writing world, like Marie Lu and John Green. Then there’s of course great musicians and artists who have overcome a lot. Anyone who does something and is passionate about it is influential.”
